And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening. ‘You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. – Matthew 16:3 NRSV
A dystopian view of the United States is rapidly becoming a reality. Former President Biden’s characterization of the 2024 Election as a “. . . fight for the soul of America . . . “is more apparent to a growing number of the Nation’s citizens and states each day.
There’s no need to go into details about the chaos that has been wreaked by Trump’s policies on the Nation with global ramifications. I suppose it might be helpful to list the carnage his volleys of Executive Orders has sown in hopes that MAGA cult followers may open their eyes. There seems to be one branch of the Federal Government missing — Congress. The lament is that the GOP will back the agenda of Co-Presidents Musk and Trump. So be it. It is important for the mid-term elections to have the GOP “on the record” as a toll is taken on American lives and economy. The question is . . . a real question.
